The Time It Is

Green Italics = authors notes

2 Thessalonians 2: 1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by

the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,  2That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that  the day of Christ *1 is at hand.[1]

This is obviously a significant event on a particular day ...

Theologically referred to as, 'The Rapture,' …

Biblically referred to as, 'The 1st Resurrection' (Revelation 20: 5-6 *2) …

Not gathering in church, as falsely taught.

3Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come (1) a falling away (from the truth) first (It is happening), and

(2) that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition (the Antichrist); 4Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.[2]

God clearly states (1) & (2) must happen before the event in the 1st  2 verses.

                               __________

With the Antichrist comes the 'mark of the Beast - 666' & a massive explosion of the

'present falling away of the truth,' to evade ultimate persecution for not taking the mark.

We are constantly being told that Jesus is coming at any time:

  • To distract us from the evil coming upon us – thinking we will be gone before it gets too bad, not realizing the persecution that is coming against righteousness, until it is too late … like the Jews in WWII & the Christians in Armenia in WWI.

  • To confuse us from understanding the signs of the times which can only be fully realized when our minds are synchronized by the Spirit with the sequence of prophetic scripture.

  • Like the 400 false prophets that told Ahab 'what he wanted to hear,' against the '1' true prophet of God that truly told him of his death in defeat.                *3 1 Kings 22: 1-38.

Our life may be taken at any moment; however ...

the 'rapture' is not until after the Antichrist is revealed.

The 'falling away' is already in motion … like a frog in a frying pan, cooking us so slowly

most won’t realize until … too late.

Mathew 24: 1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. 2And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down (40 years later, the temple is destroyed under Titus – a sign that the rest of what he hereafter says will happen). 3And as he sat upon the mount of Olives,

the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

4And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

5For many shall come in my name (as His disciples),

saying, 'I' am Christ (saying, 'Jesus' is Christ);  and shall deceive many. Later Jesus declares false prophets, but here likely  includes false teachers ('professing' Christians?).

6And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars ... famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes (now happening) … 8All these are the beginning of sorrows … deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. 10And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another (via 911 & Social Services), and shall hate one another … iniquity shall abound … he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved … this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world (now happening); and then shall the end come.

Next …

15When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:

the Antichrist in the temple) … then the mark of the beast – 666 …

21For then shall be great tribulation-persecution, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. …

25Behold, I have told you before … 27For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be …

29Immediately 'after' (NOT before) the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 30And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other

(the Rapture). [3]

Revelation 1: 7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.[4]

Revelation 6: 1 And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals …

1st 4 seals parallel Mathew 24: 4-14 …

fifth seal, I saw under the altar (not before the thrown) the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, … 11And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them … rest … a little season, until … their brethren … should be killed as they were = Mathew 24: 21 …

sixth seal, (parallels Mathew 24: 29-31 – the Rapture), … the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; 13And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth … 15And the kings of the earth, and every … man … hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; 16And said (mourn - wail) to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: 17For the great day of his wrath (NOT tribulation) is come …

God’s wrath to start at the next & final 7th seal, in chapter 8.

Revelation 7: 1 And after these things I saw four angels … 2And I saw another angel … having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels … 3Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. 4And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel (God’s witnesses after the Christians are Raptured) …

9After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations (gentiles & Jews - Christians), and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne (NOT under the alter), and before the Lamb, clothed with

white robes, and palms in their hands; 10And cried … Salvation to our God …

13And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? 14And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation … the tribulation & Rapture  are past … and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

Revelation 8: 1 And when he had opened the seventh seal … I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets …

7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up. God's wrath has begun  [5]

*1  1 Thessalonians 4: 13  But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep (dead), that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto  the coming of the Lord  (The day of Christ)  shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

*2 Revelation 20: 1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years … that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season … and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. 6Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.[6]

*3  1 Kings 22: 1  And they continued three years without war between Syria and Israel. 2And it came to pass in the third year, that Jehoshaphat the king of Judah came down to the king of Israel (Ahab). 3And the king of Israel said unto his servants, Know ye that Ramoth in Gilead is ours, and we be still, and take it not out of the hand of the king of Syria?  4And he said unto Jehoshaphat, Wilt thou go with me to battle to Ramothgilead? And Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, I am as thou art, my people as thy people, my horses as thy horses. 5And Jehoshaphat said unto the king of Israel, Enquire, I pray thee, at the word of the LORD to day. 6Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, about four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall I go against Ramothgilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up; for the Lord shall deliver it into the hand of the king. 7And Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of the LORD besides, that we might enquire of him? 8And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may enquire of the LORD: but I hate him; for he doth not prophesy good concerning me, but evil. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so. 9Then the king of Israel called an officer, and said, Hasten hither Micaiah the son of Imlah.  10And the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah sat each on his throne, having put on their robes, in a void place in the entrance of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophets prophesied before them.  11And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made him horns of iron: and he said, Thus saith the LORD, With these shalt thou push the Syrians, until thou have consumed them. 12And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramothgilead, and prosper: for the LORD shall deliver it into the king’s hand. 13And the messenger that was gone to call Micaiah spake unto him, saying, Behold now, the words of the prophets declare good unto the king with one mouth: let thy word, I pray thee, be like the word of one of them, and speak that which is good. 14And Micaiah said, As the LORD liveth, what the LORD saith unto me, that will I speak.

15So he came to the king. And the king said unto him, Micaiah, shall we go against Ramothgilead to battle, or shall we forbear? And he answered him, Go, and prosper: for the LORD shall deliver it into the hand of the king. 16And the king said unto him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou tell me nothing but that which is true in the name of the LORD? 17And he said, I saw all Israel scattered upon the hills, as sheep that have not a shepherd: and the LORD said, These have no master: let them return every man to his house in peace. 18And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee that he would prophesy no good concerning me, but evil? 19And he said, Hear thou therefore the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left. 20And the LORD said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner.  21And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will persuade him. 22And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and

I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so. 23Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil concerning thee. 24But Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah went near, and smote Micaiah on the cheek, and said, Which way went the Spirit of the LORD from me to speak unto thee? 25And Micaiah said, Behold, thou shalt see in that day, when thou shalt go into an inner chamber to hide thyself.  26And the king of Israel said, Take Micaiah, and carry him back unto Amon the governor of the city, and to Joash the king’s son; 27And say, Thus saith the king, Put this fellow in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I come in peace. 28And Micaiah said, If thou return at all in peace, the LORD hath not spoken by me. And he said, Hearken, O people, every one of you.

29So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramothgilead. 30And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, I will disguise myself, and enter into the battle; but put thou on thy robes. And the king of Israel disguised himself, and went into the battle.  31But the king of Syria commanded his thirty and two captains that had rule over his chariots, saying, Fight neither with small nor great, save only with the king of Israel. 32And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, Surely it is the king of Israel. And they turned aside to fight against him: and Jehoshaphat cried out. 33And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots perceived that it was not the king of Israel, that they turned back from pursuing him. 34And a certain man drew a bow at a venture, and smote the king of Israel between the joints of the harness: wherefore he said unto the driver of his chariot, Turn thine hand, and carry me out of the host; for I am wounded.    35And the battle increased that day: and the king was stayed up in his chariot against the Syrians, and died at even: and the blood ran out of the wound into the midst of the chariot.   36And there went a proclamation throughout the host about the going down of the sun, saying, Every man to his city, and every man to his own country. 37So the king died, and was brought to Samaria; and they buried the king in Samaria.  38And one washed the chariot in the pool of Samaria; and the dogs licked up his blood; and they washed his armour; according unto the word of the LORD which he spake.
